Space in the garage

If I had a sig, I'd need to update it. I flogged the '98 KLR
    today.That leaves me the '03 ST1300, the '91 ST1100 (in pieces,) and
the R12GS in Heidelberg. I hadn't ridden the KLR in at least 14
months. The battery was dead and the fuel was bad, but the new owner
got it to start and rode away on it. I'd been meaning to sell it for
several years, but just never got up the energy. It was a real rat
bike, as you might expect of a 12 year old dirt bike - corrosion,
scratches, missing bolts, and a bucket of excess plastic bits. I sold
it for $400, but much of that was for the Happy Trails side cases,
which went to a friend of the buyer. The buyer wants the bike for his
new business of guiding bike tours in SoCal. I think he'll wind up
cannibalizing my bike for his other KLRs.

So now I have some space in the garage. There are a few options to
fill it - a GS Adventure, a FJR (especially if I get rid of the ST13,)
Super Tenere, VStrom 1000, or ? Ahhh, choices. And Christmas is
    coming up.

Have you seen one in the flesh yet?

I had a look at the NEC and didn't particularly like them.

    :

The 2010 Moto Guzzi Norge GT 8V looks like a nice bit of kit. Or have the
same engine in an Adv frame, the Stelvio.

I'd suggest a Moto Morini Gran Passo if they weren't on the verge of
    folding.

I have never particularly liked the look of my Versys, but it does
everything I want and need it to and more. I'm not looking at how good
it appears to others when I'm riding it.

Its an ugly-f&ck bike, but I still haven't riden the thing, so who am
    I to pass judgement...

I know most modern bikes are ultra reliable, but I'd still like to
know there is a dealer within reasonable distance of wherever I might
be in North America. For that reason, I'm biased towards the Japanese
    Big 4 and BMW.
