What a brilliant day. 6 of us left Rayleigh to head up to the Ace Cafe
on the North Circular at around 08.45 this morning. Along the A127,
round the M25 to the A12 then peeled off to head out through the twisty
bits of Theydon Bois, Epping Forest to Enfield Lock. Mick the Harley
rider elected to take the straight route to the cafe and beat us there -
but what a lovely ride we had. The cameraderie at the cafe and
susequently at the sea front in Southend was second to none.
The sound of us rumbling along the North Circular road felt like being
in a continuous clap of thunder - amplified in the underpasses.
A very agreeable lunch, good company and fine weather. Couldn't ask for
    more.
I have posted a pic on my website.

err, do you mean "Epping Forest to Waltham Cross"?

Just that "Epping Forest to Enfield Lock" is "out of high beech, past
the Jewish Cemetary, then that really crap bit of straight road where
people manage to kill themselves all the time, then the two shitty
    roundabouts and new housing estates".

    ....

still, if you were on Hardlys, then maybe it'd be "fun".
