Looks like I'll be doing the organising this time, although I doubt
you'd actually want to follow me.....

I would have said Abergavenny bus station for a 10am(?) start, but
that's a little way from the Hirwaun road I want to take in, so I'm open
to suggestions for an alternative start-point. Possibly the car park of
    my local.

Plan is to set off over the A4059 - short-ish but awesome stretch of
road, stop at Llandovery for coffee before a run over the Black
Mountain, at the bottom of which I'll dig out the road I took Statto and
    Stritchy down last year.

Could possibly take in a run to the coast - Aberaeron as it's quieter
    than Aberystwyth.

    Any takers?

Yes to the former, no to the latter. I have an exam at 9am on Monday so I'm
    not playing this weekend
They do a backacter attachment for the VFR800 tractor now?

Aye, it wouldn't be much fun follwing me at my more sedate pace.... tips
for some roads would be handy though.

The plan would be to knock up a couple of route maps so that people can
sod off into the distance and wait for me to catch up at the key places,
    IYSWIM.

From Llandovery to Aberaeron my choice would be the Llyn Briane road. I'm
pretty sure it's not you sort of road. So, go west along the A40 to
Llandeilo. Take the B4302/B4337/B4338 via Talley & Llanbydder to Synod Inn.
A487 then, to Aberaeron. Return to Llandovery via Lampeter on A482.

Avoid the A482 Llandovery to Lampeter. Came back this way yesterday and its
being relayed. Chippings placed all over the round on most of the tight
bends. Not to sure what I'm up to Sunday but I'll let you know.

Did Cammo wear his Power Ranger suit last weekend and if he did, did he look
    a knob.

No, I bottled it. But I did wear leather trousers wiv knee and shin
armour. My knees are telling me I won't be doing that again.

Plus of course, your all to slow to justify them :)

Jeans this time if the weather's nice, if not, I ain't coming.

GPZ emerged from their own little world to say
He doesn't need a PR suit to achieve that. Seeing him on a shiny sports
tourer was enough. I think the days of Cammo on rats & SOBs are numbered.
He seemed to be enjoying himself on the 'blade.

I'm undecided tbh. The blade is *so* different to what I'm used to.
There's no denying it does absolutlely everything better than any bike
I've had before, and I love blasting around on it.

However, I find it a bit tame in a perverse kind of way. Corners which
at 50mph would see my old shaft-drive wallowing, knobbly tyres
squirming, oilless and airless forks bouncing around, and me with a
huge grin trying to keep the thing on the road, can be taken on the
blade at 100+mph without much thought.

The upshot is that I have to ride it *much* faster than my SOB's to get
my jollies, which in turn means that if I get it wrong, it's gonna hurt
    a *lot* more.

    Yes, it's a great bike, but it's just a little...well soulless I
    suppose.

That said, after I stopped having to rein it in from slipping up your
inside on every corner, it showed that adventure cruiser of yours a
clean pair of heels, so maybe I'll persevere with it for a while. :D

Calm down ladies. You all know that I'm a riding god on my 55bhp GPZ(1). See
    you in my mirrors.

1). In my eyes I am anyway.

Well **** me, there's a shock :) Are you suggesting Suzukis and Kwaks
all handle like a warm blancmange at 50mph?
