Just planned out an idea for a route:

Start at Abergavenny, then to Penderyn for the A4059 over to
Sennybridge. On from there to Llandovery for a quick coffee stop at the
West End cafe. Then on to Lampeter and Aberystwyth for lunch. Head back
via Llangurig, Builth Wells and Brecon.

I'm open to doing it either Sunday or Monday - whatever is best for
anyone else who can make it.

I'll be busy. Anyway, those roads are far too wide :)

Suggestion: avoid Aberystwyth. On a bank holiday weekend it will most
likely be clogged with day trippers from the Midlands. It's also a shithole
with bars & cafes tailored for the student population.

Go west from Lampeter to Aberaeron. A relatively unspoilt harbour town.
    Much nicer.

We don't all have monster traillies..... narrow roads aren't the forte
of a lardy tourer like the VFR ;-)
    Ahh, good point.
Yup. Good idea. Modifying the route now.

couple of B-roads towards Builth Wells before going back to Abergavenny
    via Brecon.

As a bonus, we can also take a short detour via Llandewi-Brefi :)

I went there Easter weekend. Didn't see Dafydd. Perhaps I *was* the only
    gay in the village :)

For a good photo op the sign at the Tregaron end of the village is
surrounded by pretty flowers for that ersatz hom experience.

The route I've planned, ISTR, takes in a lot of twisties. I'm open to
    other suggestions, though.

Does anyone want to meet up at McDonalds/Petrol Station on the way to
    Abergavenny. Around 10 AM?
