    Mine is the rarer SMQ-300E which is a valve stereo amp and a receiver all in
    one. I turned a Goodmans 8" speaker inside-out with it once !

    I met the very first Pioneer importer - Swisstone who introduced me to the
    Pioneer export manager at an audio fair at the Russell Hotel in London in
    1967.

    He told me that they only made a small number of this model and it was meant
    for the USA executive market !

    It's now gathering dust and could do with a new home... any offers ?

    I am doing ok for Valve amps at the moment, is'nt there a guy in
    Essex that collects ( and his house is the museum) old Recievers
    and early TVs ?
