Sorry mate, I didn't have to see you.

  1. There's a public service TV ad running here at the moment advising
bikers to be aware of the likelihood of crunching into a smidsy.

All good virtuous stuff, but I take the tone of the advert, to a viewing
car driver, to be 'you don't have to take care when pulling out any
more. From now on it's the biker's fault'.

Anyone else see it that way, or has my paranoia stabilised?

Yes, I have the same view on this ad.

It does seem to suggest that it smidsy's are just one of those things
    that happen.

What's the (Andrew Sachs ? ) voice over - " lookout for the car driver
    that didn't see you " ?

So if you pick yourself up and just happen to stretch your arms out or
swing your legs a bit, just to check they're ok, and the driver's face
happens to be in the way (repeatedly) does this mean it's the driver's
fault for not making him/herself more visible?
