Which misses the point that inertia can be both a plus and a minus - see
    examples above.

And if you think that you can overcome the inertia of 250Kg at 100km/hr
I'd suggest you go consult IK for a physics lesson, you can only
redirect it, and yes in certain circumstances redirecting that mass
requires a bit of force, but most people have sufficient strength to do
that provided they put the right inputs in at the right times. If being
a power lifter was a big advantage the motoGP guys would be a very
different shape and size to what they are. Most of (with a couple of
exceptions) the sucessful bike racers over the last 50 years have been
comparatively small, Rossi and Xaus are the only two reasonably
successful ones I know of that would be of above average height and
there's *heaps* below average. And the tall ones are bean poles, they
    aren't built like Arnie.

You've obviously not been reading my posts then.

Besides, I can't be mature, I've not bought a BMW yet.

Interesting, shouldn't really happen easily as I understand the theory.
You must REALLY be a fat bastard*. Silliness aside, the gyrowhatsits of
the spinning wheels at a 100K should make it quite stable. The guzzi
doesn't have a stupidly steep rake as I recall ?

Certainly on the BinnedIt you could climb all over it without it
changing course, took a LOT of body english to get it to move around
even at lower speeds with the hands off.

You never can tell. Sometimes we go on forever, others, we
    sew up quite quickly.

Watching your arse scraping on the road getting that Guzzi over was an
    unerving experience last week.
Aren't you supposed to use your knee?

If you've prevented a crash by holding it up on your knee then you're in
a very small minority if not a couple of hundred (I was counting that
number as the people who could do it at will as opposed to fluking it)

A control input by definition is something an effort used to control the
course or direction of a bike in the normal course of operation - by
your definition hanging off is a control input.

Noice attempt at changing the subject, go back to the start of the
thread and re-read my point again.
(I'll summarise again for those who want to deliberately miss the point)

On road, being small and light is relatively irrelevant(1), off road
    it's a whole different discussion.

    JL
    (1) yes reducto ad absurdum(2) will work, there is some point outside
the average adult human range where it will become a problem but you're
going to be scrabbling in the 1% of pop'n range to find it(3)
    (2) is that the correct spelling ?
    (3) I'd probably be smallest 1 or 2% of adult western males and I'm not
too worried about riding one on road(4) wouldn't even consider riding
    one off road
    (4) except for the traffic lights, jumping on and off all the time is a
    pain (5)
    (5) footnote inserted for no particular reason !

But the allegation wasn't that you couldn't change lanes at 100kph
using your body weight but whether you could save the bike from an
inevitable crash after losing traction by leaning. I can steer my bike
all over the place without touching the bars too, but that doesn't even
compare to the volume of steering input I can achieve by pushing on one
    bar with my little finger.
