    Not the Beemer!
Hope the banged knee is not too banged up.
Clem didn't use Gnat as an airbag did he?

Update: apparently, they hit a little gravel up near Eildon, and
the front stepped out and the rest of the bike followed in an
    elegant pirouette-with-two-valve-covers.
Parked right behind yours at Ringwood BM, they tell me.

Just got off the phone to Clem, both okay except gNat's kNee is
somewhat banged up so she's getting a little surgery on that.
I think Clem is about to lose his kNuts ...

a good end to what sounds like it was a great weekend.

All the best to you both.

Gnat is having cosmetic surgery to repair some nasty gashes on her knee
and toe and "a little tendon damage is under repair".

Clem is just generally sore, but OK

The Bimmer looks like a write off. (It *is* standing next toi mine at
    the mechanics.)

All from a slide in gravel on a newly sealed bit of road at ~ 40k/h.

They will be in Melb until probably friday or Saturday.

Yes the rumours is true folks; I AM a dickhead!
We were riding along, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, the cows
were smiling and the BMW was ... err ... doing nothing spectacular when all
of a sudden we were surfing the left pot.
I had a nice comfortable girl under me so I let go and the bike immediately
flipped-over and smacked-down hard on the right side breaking the frame-lug
    that, had I listened to Wierd-Al, I would've protected with a Tour-thingy
    Lock-stopper.
This broke free the headlight, gauges, oil-cooler etc as well as kinking the
right fork-leg and, along with the dented tank and graunched panniers, has
pretty-much condemned the bike to being written off. (Anyone wanna'
street-fighter a BM? I'm too scared too 'cause the local BMW club would
probably come around to my house and lynch me with their nifty
    colour-coordinated tiedowns!)

gNat's knee and big toe looked really gruesome but she's had plastic-surgery
today and a skin graft today and the specialist reckons she'll make a full
recovery with very little scarring (although if they took the skin-graft
from her buttock she could end up with a bum-knee!)
She's in Mitcham Private Hospital (rm231) if anyone wants to go around and
commiserate about what a tool her father is.

It looks like the bike will stay here and we'll fly back to Qld on Saturday.

Thank you all very much. I have honestly been overwhelmed with offers of
help; from utes, trailers, people offering to drive 300km etc. I've been
offered enough cars to start my own taxi-fleet and I've even been offered
councilling (something I may still need after Michelle gets through with
    me!)
Cheers .... SoreDoodle (soon to be NoDoodle)
