Sometimes, not much model development can be a good thing

Finally started replacing the wiring loom on the CB450. The one on the
bike was a bit butchered - not badly, but I didn't fancy fixing it up
as it wasn't in that great a condition anyway.

Finally managed to track down a K6 wiring loom in the US about six
months ago, which was in rather better condition. So this evening, I've
mostly been replacing the main loom, and so far everything seem to be
    plug'n'pray.

The proper test is when it comes to wiring in the headlight as that is
one of the very few things that have changed on these bikes between the
K4 and the K6. I think they stayed with the sealed beam inserts though
so I hope there won't be much of a problem there...

Finally, I'm beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel...

Oh great. Make sure that running a Halogen bulb doesn't melt anything
else - guess why I'm playing with the CB450's wiring loom?
If I were you I'd have a look around for Halogen bulbs with the right
wattage that fit the original holder. They are available, but bugger me
if I can remember where from.

Erm - lens with reflector, I assume?

My thinking was more going along the lines of getting a bulb with the
correct wattage, but as a halogen bulb. And I can't find the friggin'
link to the company that stocks them...
I think it's vastly overrated, this unbodging.

What sort of bulb is it? I got a halogen bulb for the Z200 in the local
bike shop, and it's the 35w/35w bayonet type like the CG125 takes.

Also, if the halogen bulb you fit is the same wattage as the one it
replaces, why would you need to uprate the wiring?
