So the Tour de France is on again.... Riders complete a course (not
including the prologue) of 3633km run on 20 days over a 22 day period
with 2 rest days. The MotoGP championship comprises approx total race
distance of 2150km, run on 18 days over 30 week period with 11 rest
weeks. Harden the **** up Valentino.

Guys I admire are the pillion camera men, facing rearwards, with a largish
    camera on shoulder.

On the steep descents the riders are doing 80 to 100kph (quickish, on a
pushie) and the motorcyclist video guys are expected to keep filming.

Sufficient unto the day is the madness thereof.

    Best, Andrew

  3. I was asked to do that in the early 90s for the World Triathlon
Championships. **** off. I was not going to sit on the back of a
motorcycle facing the wrong direction with a broadcast camera on my
shoulder. I swapped with another cameraman and did roadside shots. I
am a shit pillion. Let alone facing backwards with my eye in a
    viewfinder with a pilot I didn't know.

  4. Wouldn't like to have you as a pillion Kev, you would always be trying to
look over my shoulder to see where the hell we were going, jumping up each
few seconds putting me and the bike off balance with the sudden movements
and the wind factor, catching your body frame.
Besides, when you are a pillion, all you should see, is the pimply neck of
    the rider

  5. I wouldn't like me as a pillion either. I want to be in control. I'm
bad enough in the passenger seat of a car ...

  6. Yep, me too, I am involved with a community group and a couple of vintage
and veteran clubs and if they have a bus trip planned, I either drive the
    bus or I don't go

  7. Hurts a lot more being highsided at 200+ km/h though.

    rubbish.

Cycling makes for excellent male backsides. Nice lean muscular legs
    too.

Just because you are the wrong sexual orientation to enjoy it doesn't
    mean other people are.
