    05:30 ? Blimey.

I had the misfortune to do the A68 last weekend. On every overtaking
section [1] on a very twisty road, they'd plonked a speed camera. The
    bastards.

    I have little sympathy.

    Paul.

[1] This being in the diesel 4x4, which needs a written invitation to
    accelerate ...

    3 a year? A passable average.

I liked the quote from the Safety Camera Partnership mangler
"Safety cameras are located where there is a history of speeding and
collisions, where a camera is removed through the selfish act of
vandalism it can pose a threat to the safety of other road users.

"This type of action benefits no-one."
    Benefits no-one?

Well quite - it very obviously benefits people who want to speed at
    that spot.

That's right, only three and a bit cameras per year, how's that going to
    benefit anyone ?

Looking at the map I reckon you'd need to do at least 12 per year to
    make a difference.
