Someone wanted one of those turntable mats recently so...

  3. I had one of those for turning the Tiger in the garage. If you don't
    have the bike dead-centre on it the damn thing comes apart. And if you
    get *any* grit in it it seizes up (and of course you don't get grit in
    garages at all do you?).

    OK up to a point but over-rated. Basically two sheets of ply with a
    couple of non-slip teflon mats in the sandwich and a teflon bearing
    arrangement in the middle. Overpriced for what you get.

    I said before, go into B&Q and look in the section of drawer runners, hinges
    etc. They do a lovely flat turntable bearing for about £8. A bit of tin or
    ply screwed on and Bob is your Cross Dressing Auntie.
