Someone down.

On the way home from visiting a relative last night, the end of the next
road was blocked by a police car and several along the road - all with blues
flashing.

This morning I heard it was a motorcyclist + pillion - rider dead, pillion
in hospital.

Someone told me a lamp post had got in the way - I was passing that way
lunch time - no sign of any damaged lamp posts but an impressive amount of
the concrete fence round the old council yard was missing.

Seems I was misinformed, it was a car - no need for the lamp post to move.

 

Young chav in a sporty car he couldn't handle. Hardly news.

I asked the person who told me where they got the info, they said Three
Counties Radio have been reporting it as a "motorbike" accident all day.

I streamed the audio for the 8pm news - there's no mention of it now.

 

Old woman did the same thing on the road into our village a week or so back.
Just ran off the road, through a fence and down into a ditch. Not in the
least bit noteworthy, like most of the "Clumsy **** down" posts.

Anyway, out of 2,222 road deaths, around 427 were pedal cyclists.

 

Best to not let the truth ruin a good story.

 

Probly someone mentioned a red honda and just assumed.....
