    Well, any guage would have been a help. I had a neutral light and an
    oil pressure light.

    The rest, tacho, speedo, odo, fuel guage and temp were all out (turned
    out to all be served via a single shitty earth wire)

    Someone did suggest using a GPS track to log distance, but that's just
    silly .. especially when my GPS was tucked up safe in NI.
    Or blasting through the peripherique traffic on WFO.

    I reckon it was the drag on your rear wheel from that purple french
    truck that also sapped some MPG ..

    Not anymore !

    The NI weather clearly got into one of the connectors (everything from
    the fusebox back to the ECU has now been reseated) but it's all better
    now ... glad it manifested itself now really.
