    Grrr....

After spending the time and money to get the parts and bike up
for a trip we are calling it off after all.

Why? These two links say it all:

    http://www.weather.com/weather/local/37801?lswe=37801&lwsa=WeatherLocalUndeclared

    http://www.weather.com/weather/local/USNC0012?from=search_city

consider that it's already flooded all the way across the southern
united states and we were planning on camping it just becomes one big
    freaking mess.

    In July.....who would have guessed?

I appreciate it, Sunny. I'll reschedule, but I have no idea when.
It's very difficult for me to get vacation time. Just ask Bill. ;-)

Isn't this supposed to be the dry time of the year???

We've been trying to get some work done on our house so we can move in
but alas, the weather is continuously uncooperative. <<

Y'all should live down here in Houston. On the weather report tonight they
mentioned that during the ENTIRE month of June there have only been 5 days
without rain! I'm ready to move to Arizona.

You're on the Gulf coast, Mick You should be used to it by now. ;-) <<

Since leaving Ft. Worth in 1965 (after graduating from highschool), I've
spent a lot of years living either in Houston or Louisiana or some other
pesthole near the gulf coast. You NEVER get use to it, especially the
humidity. I want my nice, dry, Ft. Worth climate back again!... :).

I've told my wife that if we can ever afford to retire, we're getting the
heck outa Houston and moving to some place that has a decent climate with at
least a hill or two around. Don't know where that'll be but I'm counting the
days. Meanwhile I'm waiting to win the lottery so that we can make it
    happen.

Yep. With the wettest June on record just behind us. I think May wasn't
    too dry either.
