I passed my test on one in 1977. It was hoot to ride as a learner. Never
did bother with "maintenance".

Get the Honda lead if he's really selling it for 600 quid.

 

The deal is done for the lead, and it was £500 in the end. A bargain I
thinnk for a 54 plate machine.
