I wouldn't be at all surprised if such a group existed, you know.

    Dire histrionic schlock-rock.
Never heard anything on record, but accidentally seen them live twice.
90 minutes of my life I'll never see again.
The Killers have produced one of my favourite tracks from the last
12 months - All These Things I Have Done. The rest of the album's OK, but
nothing outstanding. Likewise the Kings of Leon - The Bucket is a corker,
but the rest gets a bit samey and they're absolutely coma-inducing live.

The new(ish) Graham Coxon album's not bad, particularly Freakin' Out
(though if you listen to XFM at all you'll be thoroughly sick of it by
now), and if you can find them, Sons and Daughters are wonderful in a
Velvet Underground Plays Scottish Jigs kind of way.

In the car, I'm still listening to An Evening of Contemporary Sitar
Music, by Spacemen 3 (which isn't what it says on the tin) - a perfect
cure for road rage, but not to everyone's tastes.

But my absolutely must-hear song of the moment, whether by vocal quality
or sheer "**** my own chances at chart success" is Martha Wainwright's
Bloody Mother Fucking Asshole. Well worth a listen at any price.

    There endeth the lesson.

  4. Err I *was* shopping at HMV in Hong Kong. Most CDs were $99 which is
about £6.80 at current exchange rates and therefore much better than
    anything in the UK.

  6. Nope - I very rarely do and I'm so dreadfully honest that if I do I go
through the Red channel. If you're not much over they just wave you
    through anyway.

I'm a dreadful stingebag when on holiday. I don't spend very much at all
    - especially when food is as good and as cheap as it is Hong Kong.

Which is quite amazing, considering what a spectacularly ugly fucker he is.
You'd think he'd want to avoid mirrors, if at all possible.

  13. Oh sure - SD's comment made me laugh at loud and I had a mental picture
of you running through the mirror department as you described above.

Anyway you play to your vain "reputation" and love every minute of it.
My further commenting is just giving you more exposure as well ;-)
