First off I am looking for a theory test cdrom. I would like one with
all this years questions that I can browse from start to end and pick
out the ones that aren't obvious. Also the hazard perception stuff
might be useful if it relates specifically to bikes otherwise I have
been driving for 6 years now so should be able to blag my way through
that one. It would also be helpful to have info on the stopping
distances and signs and anything else I might need.

Second I have been told to buy some gloves and a helmet. Looked in
'What Bike' magazine and the cheapest I could find were about £300. I
dont mind paying that if thats what they cost but the woman at the
training centre said it would be like £80. I live in Wellingborough -
    any ideas?

Go to John Lee in Higham Ferrers - tell 'em they are a bunch of gits and
that Simes (trainer for Dave Brear and rides a Pan) sent you. Mrs Lee
will sort you out with all the kit you need within a sensible budget.

Helmet for 40 to 50 quid if you want.

Famous for being expensive. I've only been in there once and they
    didn't have what I wanted.

I did have a proxy row when they failed a mates bike on it's MOT.
Appealed and passed by the ministry.
