  1. ukp870 on ebay. I'm well happy with that, seeing as I've had about 1500
    miles out of it.

Hardly - it only just covers the cost of employing someone to answer
the phone and do the paperwork.

The Older Gentleman was seen penning the following ode to ... whatever:
Youse been robbed, I only pay a tenner per change...

Actually, have you tried to work out if the cost of change during the
year exceeds the initial cost of the policy?

  6. It's gone. To a really nice couple with two restored 400 Fours and two
    restored CB250RSs.

He told me he'd put in a proxy bid of ukp1001. I *wish* somebody had bid
    harder against him!

  7. trouble is, it's hard to find out these things... and eBay, rightly, take a
dim view of people bidding up their own items, though I bert it happens,
either in person on a different identity or via friends for a cut.

next time you're selling summat, lemmme know, I'm sure we can come to an
    arrangement, nudge-nudge, wink-wink...

  8. You were doing something wrong, I think. Any search on CB550 should have
    thrown it up.

Easy way to do it, is to find someone to put in a bid for you.... only,
instead of entering, say, £1000, they put in £10000.

Obviously, a bid for £10000 would be a mistake, and ebay rules would
allow you to withdraw the bid, so long as you placed a corrective bid
    immediately after withdrawing, IYSWIM.

  10. true, but the problem is that you might end up buying it - the trick would
be to know that someone has stuck a proxy for more'n what your fake bid
    is...

  12. Well, it won't after the auction has closed (I don't think), but if
    anyone is interested:

    (The Older Gentleman muttered
You can only find a closed item with the reference number. I had a
look while the auction was open and searched for CB550 and CB550F,
nada. Had to do a search for Honda and scroll though. Dunno why it
didn't come up as CB550 was in the title...

It's 53 feet. He only pushed it for the last foot.
