Society benefits from education

  1. I certainly agree with this everytime I see that **** Harry Hill.

The thousands spent on his medical education were certainly a fantastic
    investment for the country.

Along similar lines, what were all those evil investment bankers doing
5-10 years ago? Studying at university. What will many of those
students protesting about the fees be doing in 5-10 years time? Taking
risks on the financial markets for their employers, enjoying their
bonuses, & not giving a flying **** if their actions screw things up
for the next generation of students.

  3. Don't be absurd!

They will become politically aware through the process and this will
lead to us entering a new enlightened age through activism.

Yay! And all religious militants will turn into fluffy bunny wabbits
that poo gold, Egyptian sharks will evolve into off-shore rescue boats,
& scientist will discover how to turn one cubic foot of air into one
thousand gallons of petrol by telling it a funny joke.

The country got its investment back in income tax.
But he's a good argument for pay-per-view television.
Pay-per-listen radio would be good too, showing how many people
actually want to listen to **** Arthur Strong.

  7. Which it would have done whether or not he did a medical degree...
Hmm.. how much would they pay me to watch Harry Hill?

  8. Yeah, but some of those are funny.
His point is what? Humourous diversion?

I think he doesn't feel guilty about wasting society's money and robbing
someone else of the opportunity to study medicine.

Personally I'd rather he *was* a doctor and treating other people.

I bet the cost of his medical education was a bit less than six billion
    quid though, eh?

  11. Well, yes. His medical degree hasn't given him his comedy career.

  12. Do you really believe that?
    Yes, I think so.

Not sure what relevance that figure has to me though. You do know that
I work within a product development team rather than in a finance role?

He does. Amazing isn't it? Perfect proof that tastes differ, & ogden &
I seem to have completely opposite tastes in just about everything.

Whenever I put something on Facebook about something I saw/heard that I
thought was good, you can guarantee the first response will be ogden
saying "it's shit". Which I generally take as confirmation that it is
    indeed good.

  19. My pre Xmas diving holiday in Sharm got me a rather good T shirt of a
shark about to eat a snorkeller who is saying "So far, so good!"

Within days of the elderly lady being killed by a shark most of the T
shirt shops we filled with humorous Shark T shirts. I asked who was
buying them when I got mine and the answer was "Mainly Brits."

I'd have to disagree vehemently, Harry Hill is about as funny as
    genital mutilation.
