SOB Wanted

Wanted - SOB for commuting between crystal palace and surbiton , cheap as
possible but must be mot'd.
I'm up north till the 3rd jan but can view any time after that - failing
that anyone know of any bike shops remotely near those places that sell
cheap hacks?

I reckon that 'older' bloke from Sutton might have something he could

How shite? I may an MZ ETZ 300 - fairly ghastly looking - but could
easily be pressed into action with a kosher MOT by end of Jan.

I have a *gorgeous* little original Honda CB125S, 1972 so tax exempt,
utterly original, probably one of the best in the country, but it won't
be cheap - I'd not let it go for under £700. However, as it costs zero
to tax, next to nowt to insure, and does 100mpg it would work out cheap
in the long, or even medium, term. Brand new Conti tyres on it, as
well, plus a few useful spares, original handbook, toolkit, warranty
book and even a period brochure.

Steve, buying SOBs from dealers is a truly bad idea. Few of them really
understand them anyway, and because they have to earn a living, their
mark-up doesn't really make them cheap. A SOB is always best bought

Sweller has supplied good working MZs to several ukrm-ers, including
myself, and if he says he's got a decent one, you can be sure it will
be.

 

Whereas if he says he's got one that /looks/ ghastly....
