SOB Tax?

Proposal for annual tax on vehicles, whether they're used on the road
or not.

 

I heard a rumour on this very subject on Monday, so went looking on
the DVLA site: fruitlessly. However, the link is given in the above

Bear in mind that this is only a proposal atm, and the intention to
levy a charge on SORNed vehicles only appears in Options 3 and 4 at £3
and £4.50 respectively. It does seem a bit thin-end-of-the-wedgelike
to me, however. Bastards.

I think that the reality is that personal motorised transport is going to
get a lot more expensive over time, and there's very little we'll be able to
do about it.

What, by forcing everyone onto public transport.

Don't make me laugh, in London at least, most of the fucking congestion
and air pollution is *caused* by fucking public transport. Take the
busses and taxis off the road and the place will be a much better place.

Next time your ever in Oxford St for instance, have a look how many
people are on the busses and in taxis. At least 90% of the traffic down
there is busses and taxis, they shite up the place in good fashion and
there's only ever two fucking people on them.

 

Take all the cars off the road, and more people will use the buses.

 

Clean up the buses and more people will use push bikes.

 

Bio-diesel.

 

Well ok then. Scrap the buses that belch black smoke and can't be easily
fixed, fit bio-diesel lumps into the ones that can and if nothing else
buy spangly new ones.

Oh, and I don't want to pay for it.

 

Get rid of the buses, cars, push bikes and taxis, then mount a
trebuchet on every street corner & a selection of inflatable sumo
costumes.

 

You don't have to scrap them. They form the ideal playhouse for some cheeky
kids and Melvyn Hayes.
