We've moved over to Footman James. My wife moved first after a Carole
Gnash droid told her that MV had never made a 350 as it wasn't shown on
the drop down list. The fact that the only MV on the list was the F4
didn't seem to matter at all & said droid steadfastly refused to quote
for adding the 350 to her policy.

I decided I wasn't going to stick with Gnash after their free European
recovery refused to recover my SFC because a Dutch Yamaha dealer (who'd
never seen an SFC1000 before) thought it was worth less than the cost of
the recovery. Gnash's "Award winning" claims service then proceeded to
misinform me about the progress of the claim throughout the process.
It's now >4 months since the accident, I've had to go to Holland to
collect the bike myself, Carole Gnash told me it was a total loss on
24/05 but to this date the actual insurance company haven't even
inspected the bike, let alone reached a decision. Not happy, not happy
    at all.

If I'd known that the "Claims Service" wasn't going to liaise between
me, my insurer & the third parties insurer like what they promised then
I'd never have got them involved. Anything that arrives from them now
gets passed straight to my solicitor for him to deal with - I'm sick of
being lied to. I mean, the third parties insurer have told me they're
not going to dispute liability but Gnash keep denying this.
So far my experience of Footman James has been positive. But then again,
I'd been with Carole Gnash for >10 years and they've only been useless
the last couple of years. Things like old bikes reappearing on the
policy a couple of years after I'd sold them, the premium doubling every
year but going back to near the previous years as soon as I threatened
    to phone around...

How do you mean,"Never Let you down?" have you tried to contact them
since you took out your insurance?

I've found then to be possibly the worst insurer I've ever dealt with
and that includes all vehicles I've had insured over the past 30
years.hey never answer the phone and when they do it's as if they
don't even know they are running a business.

Shep© () gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
    saying :
I was starting to think FJ just had it in for me personally - everybody
    else seems to like 'em.

I once had a car (not sure if they do bikes) insured with Lancaster,
seemed OK but I never had to claim and it was a few years ago.

    "That was helpful".

Well, I have choped and changed the bikes listed on the
policy loads of times, easily and without error (in fact
without charge for the last one).

The one claim I have had to make was handled extremely fast
    and again trouble free.

I am sure they are just as mercenary and evil as all the
others, they just have not show that side to me yet!

As to getting hold of them, never a problem...

Well yes, that's not very representative as it could be anywhere and
    anything.

I have five bikes on Carole Nash's cover, ungaraged in the South East,
Fully Comp inc. legal and recovery, just under £200.

    very good deal.
