So where will it end?

  1. So do they when they don't have bits of equipment to lug around..
I'm sure the CC charge cameras can tell the difference..

My "gas guzzling 4x4" is actually in the same emissions bracket as my
old pug 307 and hence comes in the same tax bracket.

Post-01, yep, because that's how the tax disc price is decided.
Look at the V5 or tax disk.
Same as it's been since the charge was introduced - Irrelevant unless
it's an "approved" conversion - which means the combination of car, kit
and fitting company. If you have, then you fanny about with paperwork to
get the car registered with 'em every year.

Because pre-01 stuff doesn't have an official CO2 figure.

"produces the same emissions per litre of fuel guzzled as a treehugger micra!"

Micras are tree-hugger's cars? Right, that's it, mine's being sold.

Oh joy, the Scorp puts out 270g/KM, but is a '98 and 2993cc. So does
that mean I don't have to pay it?

They've just introduced an emissions zone in Berlin, except they've done
theirs properly. €5 one off payment to get an emissions sticker for the
window (lasts forever). LPG and stuff is taken into consideration.
Unfortunately, my Rangie doesn't fit the criteria so it's a €30 fine if
I'm caught in the 'zone'. Still, makes a lot more sense than Red Kens
    madness.

The man's a ****. He was in today's paper with his cycle hire scheme for
London, but he won't ride a bike because he fell off one once. Fucking
arsehole needs a dose of reality like the rest of the political class.

according to this logic, you'd criticise someone who gave you a special
allowance to go to football matches every month, but didn't like football
themselves. or gave you tickets to a kylie minogue concert even though
    they weren't gay.

foot in sights - aim - fire.

yes, and one that's not far behind - the RX-8's figure is 267 g/km
    hopefully.

Yebbut at least I'm not in charge of public money.

If and when I run for mayor, I might start to care about whether I'm more of a
    **** than Red ****^W Ken.

No it isn't. He has a lot of anti congestion and anti pollution initiatives,
with a lot more stick than carrot, but he'd rather be driven about at the
expense of the people he's giving stick. It's hypocritical.

They are already doing it - I notice more and more G-Wheezes in the car
park I use near my client's site.
Yup, you could get the impression that it does have a definite 'eat the
rich' spin to it, but as soon as you'll look a bit closer, it looks like
a lot of ordinary folks are caught in the fallout. But of course Ken
    would never admit to that.
