  4. I'm 60km north of Málaga. On the A92 that runs between Granada and
Sevilla. The village is called Fuente de Piedra.

I've been living here for over 2 years and have avoided Gibraltar up til
now. Fucking horrible place by all accounts. Thought I might go and
spend a few days in Melilla though - it's actually part of Málaga.

What about Gau-Algesheim on Sunday and Cambrai on Monday? Both out-takes
    from "The Exterminating Angel".

At least it seemed that way to me. Maybe I was just being twitchy.
So you should be, Mr Three-Day Hangover.

Effectively, but that would need us to get from chez nous to the Channel,
cross the Channel, and then crack off maybe 650 miles to Cahors in one day.
If we nailed it down the autoroute, we might get there for breakfast the
    next day.

The way I had worked it out was:

Day 1: Ride to Dover, cross, ride down to Chepy (about 80 miles from Dover)
    Day 2: Chepy - Cahors
Day 3: Cahors - somewhere in the middle of Spain
    Day 4: SITMOS - Paul Carmichael's gaff
Day 5: PCG - Gib (which looks to be 120-odd miles) - Africa - Gib - PCG
    Day 6: PCG - SITMOS
    Day 7: SITMOS - Cahors
    Day 8: Cahors - Chepy
    Day 9: Chepy - home

It'd be very difficult to average 60 mph; especially as most of the
bikes' maximum speed is not far off that.

I think we'll average 45 mph on the road but only manage 8 hours out of
    12. Which is about 360 miles per day, maybe 400.

Also this run will be more demanding on the machines and some service
time will have to be factored in. I know I'll have to check and set the
MZs timing at some point. On the ES this is a quick but head off job.

Plus if we're camping for any of the nights time will be needed for tent
    pitching and the like.

Heh, the ES has no brakes. I really, really have to do something about
that. Maybe I could get the shoes relined with some friction material as
opposed to the cement the East German's seemed to have a fondness for.

A TLS drum could be tricky on a set of Earles forks but has anyone got a
    spare Honda drum kicking about?

What is this "Africa Run" you all are going on about?

Just where in Africa will you actually be 'riding'?

You are a worthless lot of Little Englander SCUM who are unaware of
your very, very minor role in today's world.

And as for being bikers, well, you never were and certainly aren't now.

What sort of bikes do you ride?

Those little abbreviations at the bottom of the page are not
    acceptable.

You must write out the FULL names and models of your vehicles.

Anything less is worthy of 'transportion'.

Perfidious cads, rotters, sods, mountebanks, etc.

I'm not on about any Africa run.
I'm not English, I was born to Irish parents in Brazil and was brought
up there and in France, then moved to England only a few years ago.
You should see the number of passports I have.
You amuse me. Are you anywhere near Derby next weekend?
Mine has two wheels and an engine.
    Avert your eyes.
Which part of "Kawasaki ER-5" didn't you understand?
Does that mean I get to live in Australia out of the rain? Yes
    please, daddy!

Just where in Africa will you actually be 'riding'?
Then why do you call it an "Africa run"?

None of which you earned. I have 4 myself. Big fucking deal. And Brazil
    allows muliple-passport holding? Since when?

Are you out of your mind? I'll be 10,000 miles away, in a land that
still knows how to produce motorized two-wheel vehicles.

By the way, I ride real bikes known as scooters, not those
GEAR-SHIFTING WRECKS that you pansies park your carcasses on.

You are truly little more than lisping miscreants.

    Sod off!

I never called it an Africa Run, dear. I'm not going, I'm going to be
in sunny/rainy Inglerland for the duration.
I don't care, I don't live in Brazil. Why should I have to earn a
passport? Passports are owed to me by the countries that I inhabit.
    You'll be in Australia?
What makes you think I'm a pansy?

Looks like he's pissed off already. However, should the most people
who don't appreciate it wish it to stop, then they should only mention
    it.

  16. You're all fucking lunatics.

    <thinks>

I do remember reading the Frankfurt write ups and watching the video
clip with a reasonable amount of jealousy, plus, I'll be carrying over a
stack of this years holiday allowance into next year.

Somebody remind me of the full rules (as opposed to just the exceptions).
