Not quite - but I've still 28 days to go. [1]

    11 kilos gone so far.

If you heard a loud "thump" it's all gone pear-shaped.

    Or pancake-shaped, possibly.
    I'll try.

[1] I'm under the bungy limit, but over the cable descent limit.

I'm expecting sheer terror to account for a couple of kilos in the ten
    minutes beforehand.

See all you lovely people at the BO?M.

I'm looking forward to this: the last time I had a month off work was
between leaving school, and starting at the Pru.

    July 1980.

94-99 - weekend warrioring - not "real" RAFing.

You've probably included "exercise" in your regime.
Careful, you'll vanish entirley if you're not careful.

not really. Just drastically cutting down what I eat in the evenings
5-6 nights a week, but having a normal lunch. Oh, and not much beer.
hardly, my target weight is still around 73kg (it's actually 6 to go -
    5 was a typo above).

You didn't get to point at the target for the merkins then? My mistake,
I thought you were a full time killing machine.

I've had *a* glass of beer this year, no chips, no rubbish. I'm hoping
the fact that I'll be more active over the next four weeks should
    account for a few kilos.
Ah. My "target" is 120kg. Well, the initial target, anyway.

100kg would be more my ideal fighting weight, I feel.

I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but I can't even begin to
imagine what it would feel like to be such a fucking fat bastard.

Since last year, for the first time ever, I have a line manager who's
    shorter than I am.

it wasn't intended as an insult - I mean I can't imagine what it must
feel like to have to walk around, climb ladders etc. weighing that
much. I couldn't carry a 40kg rucksack around very easily.

The Nips are hardly civilised though are they? It was only a week or
two ago their entire society was based on feudalism and a lot of it
    still is.

Good lord. Is he fully developed?
It's not easy. Hence my tendency not to do stuff like walking around and
    climbing ladders...

    Not at all, old chap.

TBF, I'm pretty fed up with it. Which is why I'm trying to change the
    situation.

    Smoking's next on the agenda.

Of course, a 21 hour flight is the perfect opportunity to start
    quitting. <lights up>

Anyhoo, the cab'll be here in a mo, so I'll sign off till April.

TTFN, and look after the place while I'm gone.
