Was informed yesterday that bike was ready to be collected from bike-fixers,
having had a major service and EXUP valves replace in entirety. Seeing as
it was so expensive, theyd "even valeted it, and the bloke who washed it
said you seemed to be allergic to it! Its outside waiting for you..."
hahahah. Good I says... whats the damage then?... "£938" says he. Not
happy, but forewarned that it was going to be around that region, I let out
a resigned sigh and tell them Ill try and get down later to pick it up, or
if not, drop by tomorrow (ie, today)...

So, turn up to collect bike, to be met with "oh, its not here, its, er, gone
to our other branch to be washed.." Then get *far* too much information
from bloke about how they had 4 bikes to go down there but hed told mechanic
to take mine blah blah blah. Yeah right. Bloke had needed to go down to
other branch and used my bike thinks I...

Anyhow, having coughed up cash whilst waiting, bike appears in 20 minutes or
so, and bloke says one of the headlight bulbs has gone and hell quickly
replace it.. OK thinks I.. He does so, then blokey from behind desk says
"that will be £13 for the bulb as well please..."

I looked at him and said "You *are* shitting me?"

"OK, Ill do it for a tenner."

I then paid the tenner and left. Fuming.

So what would your reaction be?

Torch the place. (OK fume for a while, then open a bottle of red
and opt for a sympathy shag with the SO)

    Yamaha Sport and Leisure,
part of the Collin Collins group in Kenton.

Seems daft to piss on your chips to such a huge extent... for the sake of a
tenner, theyve just binned any posibility of me ever doing any business with
    them ever again...

There's yer answer, and even suggesting ten quid for a bulb after they'd
completed the work and invoiced you for it is another reason.

Seems pretty daft to complain about paying a standard charge for a
standard part. I mean, did you expect them to do it for nothing?

Yep. Having been kept waiting for 45 minutes and having coughed up a grand
already, Id say that would have been reasonable...

Nope, welcome to "Shit Customer Service"

Id sack any of my staff if they were to treat a customer like that in that
    situation...

I'd sack the bike shop if I were you, then move on. Maybe you should have
found out what they were like before you spent that sort of money with
them. If I'd had a bulb blow on a customers bike while I was 'test riding'
it or 'takiung it for a wash', I'd just replace it with no quibble.
