So what? No one wants to talk about Rossi's lap record inpractice yesterday?

  1. I mean come on, that a pretty decent practice performance, Are you a
    bunch of Rossi haters?
Is he a bit too much of a skinny -party boy image for you? I can't believe
the experts in this goup didn't have any commentary on practice times
yesterday. (Slight Sarcasm) Lets talk about some MotoGp this weekend....
Personally, I can hardly wait for Sunday...

Gibernau better hope for rain and Biaggi is a head case now...

    Bring on the flames!

Will it be wet today and tomorrow?

If this keeps up, it's turning into Honda's worst nightmare. The last
thing they needed was Rossi to stack up an early lead in the
    championship.

And yes, 1.1 off the pole record and 0.38 in front of 2nd is f**ing
    unbelievable.

And who'd of thought Checa would be on the front row. Or that Nakano
would be in front of Hayden and Edwards, and Hoffman in front of
Capirossi and Bayliss. As is Xaus.

BTW. You can read it as whining but Biaggi and Gibernau (and Edwards) do
have the perfect excuse that Honda aren't looking after them. Perhaps
that's both Honda's and their failure to get into the official factory
team. Even though Hayden and Barros are at the front of the queue, Honda
may have to select one or at most two riders to lead the fight to Rossi.
If it turns out that Biaggi/Gibernau is their best bet of winning the
championship, will they get special treatment? My guess is that the
    answer is no.

The practise times probably mean nothing - the riders know that their times
from the previous day are utterly safe, and they just proceed to experiment
with bike-setup, hardly pushing for time. These qualifying times will mean
nothing for the race, that is one very safe deduction. Basically, it's a day
off. If you don't know that, you have not followed motorcycle racing for
long - it's not the first time no one cares about a wet qualifying after a
    dry one the previous day.

At least part of what makes Rossi and Schumacher so successful is that
they got themselves in the right place at the right time.
    FP2 in full wet conditions.
    1. Rossi.
    What magic was lost? ;-)

QP2 was largely irrelevant. It was half wet for the whole hour. Many
people were faster in FP2 as at least it was predicable.

FP2 was wet. QP2 was half wet, constantly changing, unpredictable. About
the only thing anyone could learn in those conditions was whether full
wets would work on a drying track.

  7. Some very starnge statments to come with right now. As everybody were so
sure about the reason why Rossi were SO good last year was ONLY because of
the superior bike and noting else.
If he were able to develop the Yamaha to a world class bike or not, is right
now totally irelevant, he is fastet with somthing everybody tought to be the
third best bike last year. His drive to move on for Honda was to have a
challenge, right now it looks that (if he loose the campinship) he is more
likly to loose the championship out of boredom rather than qualified
    competition.

Btw. Shumi also moved on from a winning team to a top five team and won
after a seaon or two. It was clearly not the superior equiment that gave him
victory that first win with Ferarri.

Last year I was becoming a bit of a Rossi hater because I suspected his
sucess was largely due to having the best bike and best team, that was
probably the case but to watch him and his team this year work woth Yamaha
and turn the bike into a completely competitive machine is very immpressive
and I have revised my opinion of Rossi very much, the guy is almost a freak,
he really does have a huge talent and a natural gift to get the most out of
any bike he rides. If he ends up been on the best bike with the best team
it's hard to argue he doesn't deserve to be there.

If it's a wet race it's going to be very interesting, Bayliss and KR jr
posted the fastest wet times in qualifying and both are very competent wet
weather riders but they have to come from the back of the grid so it will
intersting to see if they can work through the field fast enough to be in
    the running.
