I think Xnews isn't very good for accented characters. Your 'enya' is
showing like a circle with spikes pointing out in each 4 corners.

I have no idea, and I can't see anything to give me that information.
When I view the articles, my post still shows with the spikey circle, and
your post shows with the Euro, as it does now in the quoted text above as
I type.

I've now exhausted my meagre knowledge of character sets. Mind you, I'm
the bloke that spent the past 6 months annoyed at Agent's inability to
display furrin symbols and accents, and was fucking about changing
charsets until I noticed the 'display raw message' option was on.

Sounds about right. It showed OK in the original from Paul, but Xnews
changed it in my reply, which got changed again when you posted your reply
with Agent. Now it's stuck as a Euro as Xnews seems to be happy with
that.
