It needs the attention of their spanner monkey first. And I haven't
    even touched it yet, honest.

It's too late. Too many people already know about it.

Phenomenal. Just from posting about taking a test ride?

Mostly. The bike wasn't even on the premises when I arranged the test
    ride yesterday.

You have a God-given talent. I'm sure race teams could employ you to
    sod up the opposition.

You could stand in the pits, glare menacingly at their bikes, and wait
for them to blow up on the first lap.

But from what I've read of Timo's "skills" today, wouldn't he'd just
radiate in all directions and feck everyone's bike?

Yeah. Given to me by the Discworld Gods by the looks of it.
Well, that's probably the only way to commercially exploit
it. Actually Gabriele suggested the I'm producing enough material for
a monthly column. Don't think "Bike" will have me as it's probably too
    depressing for their readers.

    <thinks>

Hmm, if I buy an Elsie I should have enough material for a weekly
column or a monthly double-pager in Mechanics. And all that without
leaving the garage. Well, not for long anyway.

I have the same effect on watches.
I've tried them all and none last more than a few months

Funnily enough watches seem to last fine for me, unless they get
nicked. It's probably some joke of the Gods that the watches are still
ticking, thus showing me how late I'm running today...
