just got my notice from Verizon. I think Jerry was right, but maybe a little
    passionate about it.

how about we move this fantasy granfalloon to rec.tx.motorcycles or
    microsoft.tx.motorcycles or fido7.su.tx.motorcycles?

Deadline is tomorrow except for WebTV.

    fine

    Yeah

I went back and read your original post Jerry. I think I caught two lines
of thought...at least. One, Artists losing money, or the big media
companies losing money, spelled money, got people off their asses to
penalize youngsters for sharing stuff that they had stolen from each other,
willingly(as in copyright infringement) and a few bad apples were profitting
from. Software pirating police have not been as effective, cause everybody
hates the man(MS,Apple, etc) so they deserve to get ripped off. Pornography
which victimizes children, however, is more of a moral or social issue, and
as such lacks the power to mobilize all but the clandestine gestapo at the
outrage of the common people(us) or the moral police(just about everyone).
This has been brought about by two issues, censership has long been viewed
as government interference into our private lives, and the public, if not
private, view(as you so well put it), that a globally corrupt, overbearing
and totalitarian centralized government can possibly double as our "leaders
    and protectors".

It is the second line of thought in your response post that troubles me.
Not everyone is corrupt. The whole world lies in the evil one, so true.
But not all are corrupt. You for instance are as best I can tell, honest,
    forthright and sincere. Not corrupt.

Verizon is a pussy. Time-Warner has always been bullshit, as in limiting the
"amount" of usenet traffic. They lose money on free, non-revenue generating
bandwidth. Now they can look moral while they slowly and customarily
deprive customers of all areas of their service which cannot be used to
develop profits. I think I heard that child pornography has only been traced
to approximately 50 illegal upload points.

In this case, the punishment implies that the evil definitely is in the eyes
of the beholders(those that download need to be punished).

On the other hand, alt newsgroups are obviously only used by perves and old
    men anyway. Likewise, tx.motorcycles.

Well, I don't do alt groups but I do "read" tx.motorcycles.
And I am not a perverted old man...

I guess that makes me a perverted old woman. ;-P

I'd like to see more input on this before I "so it is true".

Sunny, have you made a visit to check on your old Friend Bill Walker?
(just kidding) it is good to read you on our last days of existence.
    oh well. JayT.

Bjay, why stress him out, by showing up at his doorstep?
I sent him a card. He knows how I really feel about all this.
Under that gruff exterior, he's a good man. I wish him well.
Bill is in our hearts and in our prayers.

That's why I use EasyNews. Better retention and it's only $10/mo. If
you like music there's a ton of groups to visit.

Even some of the rec.moto visitors will be happy that they can still surf
into alt.bestial.litte.ponies to talk to their friends. ;-) 8-0

====Sunny that's some very kind words. I would imagine that Bill thinks
the same about you. All the usenet stuff between you two, was just that:
''usenet play'', and ''games''. You are a sweetheart... regards to ya,
    always. JayT-
