Snow, snow, slip quick snow

This morning was not really a good morning for #1 Sprog to remember
he'd forgotten his PE kit when halfway to school. The dread of a
'misconduct' Pink Slip was sufficient to generate a wibble, so we had
to turn round and come back to get it.

Fortunately, we'd left five minutes early the first time so as to
allow for tossers slipping around, so we were only ten minutes later
than normal on the return trip. He's never been in a car with me when
On A Mission before, as avoiding a Pink Slip for tardiness was next on
    the agenda.

We got a little unconventional on roundabout approaches (two wheels on
the verge and filter, you fucker), and on braking for corners (one
front wheel on black stuff, the other elsewhere and generally locked
up) and, come to that, on acceleration and overtakes - but he did like
the stream of roof-snow flying behind us like a comet's tail.

He was a bit quiet in the car and a bit pale when he got out.

I do hope the PE sadist makes him play rugby today ...

Since I emigrated to this part of the country we've had storms, floods and
now snow. What time does the earthquake arrive? I suspose I'll have to wait
    until spring for the pestilence.

I've just dug out my winter gloves so I should be snug on the bike today. *

    Earthquake? About Thursday, I think.
Rather you than me. May the Farce be with you.

It's been such a voyage of discovery for the poor wee soul since
becoming a Pixie and meeting "Nice Uncle Pip"

I think that's a PS2 cheat for that "Bully" game.

It wasn't too bad at all, the little GS did a sterling job. Layers, that's
the answer, lots of layer. Only my big toe and the tip of my index finger
got cold; and that was after 80 miles.

Nope, much, much worse than that! The evil, sadistic swines made them
    do ... dance.

The 'poor wee soul' absolutely hates it! I think rugby would have
been a blessed relief. Today they had to 'dance their birthday' by
assigning predetermined dance moves to the corresponding digits in
    their birthday.

No wonder he skived off one session of it last last year (kept that a
secret for months and finally 'fessed up to me 'cos he couldn't bear
    the guilt any more).

  13. Followed by a vigourous debagging and radishing in the teachers common

    In Sint'ellins?
In the third year (gawd knows what it's called nowadays) our school
were drawn to play Tonbridge in the Kent Cup.

Our cricket coach/teacher was a maths teacher who liked cricket. Mr
    Cozens.

The cricket coach of Tonbridge U14 XI was John Inverarity, Australian
ex-Test player, currently on their board of selectors, iirc.

Not the school's cricket coach, just the under 14's.

    We got murdered.
