Snow joke ...

I volunteered my flatmate's Land Rover for log removal duties when some
become available. It always amuses me that there are people out there who
will pay someone to take away logs.

Don't know but it's safe to say they don't have to (a) travel on them (b)
work them (c) maintain them.

I'm told that Bombardier were given the go ahead to buy the remnants of
Aprilia after the last bankruptcy scare, and at the same time a £5
million subsidy was handed over to them by the Italian govt to set the
wheels in motion and keep production going in Italy while details were
finalised. Bomardier used a substantial chunk of ther subsidy to set
things in motion and pay suppliers, and then the Italian govt handed
control to Piaggio and demanded *all* their cash back from the Canucks.

 

Price != value.

 

True enough, smiles per mile and back pain need factoring in.

How very..... Italian.

 

Bombardier = trains & planes (1 of which has just crashed in China).
Bombadier = snowmobiles, PWC, Aprilia buy-out etc.

 

Not so,Bombardier did all of the above, though they sold off the
recreational products division a year or so ago.

So with the temperature dropping (I'm guessing you mean 1 degree on the
thermometer) every few hundred yards, and taking a couple of hours to drop
by 10 degrees, that must have been a hell of a traffic jam.
