I live a few miles from Shap Summit, not much snow yet.
My flatmate's got a 20 mile cycle ride home in this so the log-burner is
cranked right up. Maybe if we got a race-tuned chimney it'd perform better.

Have you got a big stack of logs cut for the big freeze?
Gonna be severe this winter by all predictions.

It's fucking snowing here now, you ****. It's all your fault,
starting the annual snow thread so early.
It's been pissing down all day - Elly's Pathan Lobsters were soaked
through after her 80-mile round trip. The temperature just dropped
like a brick in the past 20 minutes and then the rain turned to quite
heavy snow which although it is melting off the roads atm is settling
on parked cars and the like.

If the weather forecast is correct and it gets colder overnight, the
roads are going to be a nightmare in the morning.

It will get colder, by tomorrow for you.
    Best of luck, mate.

Is it just me or is this snowfall unusual? Most snow in Southern
England occurs in January and February if memory serves - not bleeding
    November.
