    It is indeed. However, one of the brackets I made broke off in strong
    cross-winds, so it had to be strapped on for todays trip.

    Actually, I had an image of it being scruffier than that; I don't know
    why, probably just that most 20yo bikes are fairly doggy looking.

    Most of mine have been for sure ;-)

    OTOH the BMW has so impressed me with its ability to withstand winter
    riding. All my previous bikes (all Jap) really started to fall to pieces
    after a couple of winters.
