Any other folks in shooting range of Birmingham (Sutton C.) planning a visit
Sat. or Sunday? The forecast has improved to dry/cloudy. I will
unfortunately be hire caging it but that means a spare seat or two.

If I can dump the kids off with the MiL for the day then I was thinking
about going over on Sunday to watch a bit of team UKRM action. I won't be
there till about 1:00ish. So team UKRM DFC[1] until I get there, cheers.

[1] In fact DFC at all would be best.

Is there a pedestrian footbridge over the track at Snett? Or is that the
place where your restricted to the outside of the track once the racing has
started if you don't get there early enough?

    Nahh, it's miles.
What's the A14 like as a biking road?

You're mistaking me for someone who rides quickly. And there are the fuel
stops to consider - 100 miles to reserve light, if I'm lucky.

Anyway I'll see what the weather's [1] like and if I can find any tuits.

How far? Think about it: a fucking wuss on the throttle and only 100
miles in a tank. That is fucking ludicrous.

Have you had the bike properly serviced? Or checked you haven't got a
    dead badger in the tank?

[1] 16L to reserve IIRC. Actually it will do a bit better on a long run.
Worst I had was just over 80 miles before the light came on. Anyway, it's
not so much I'm a wuss on the throttle - just that I don't go very quickly
top-end style. Speed cameras and all that.
    Yes/I'll check.

  17. Straight - dual carriageway - unmarked cozzers - boring.

Ah, there's your problem. Honda managed to make a rediculously
uneconomical v-twin, and then gave it a stupidly small tank. I
suspect 16L it the total tank size. Otherwise, 16 litres for 80 miles
    is around 23mpg...

    Utterly shite.

Get a map and find an interesting route.

  20. Dull; it's too straight. Unless you pick rush hour and filter
    stoopid speeds.
