    What is it?
Can we buy helmets with it here?
Is it better than the Aus Standards?
Worth the extra $? How much extra $?
Must be fairly old, my old man talks about Snell and he gave up riding when
I was knee high to a flea...

    Cheers,

A very quick google threw up Zebee's views on the subject.

  3. An American standard
Not really, just different, though some may disagree
No, and a Snell certified helmet is not necessarily legal in Oz anyway

Thanks - Zebee's logic is as usual indefatigable.

Not sure when exactly helmets became a legal requirement in WA but it
was after 1966 and before 1970. There was no requirement to wear an AS
helmet then (not sure if there was an AS). The wearing of an AS helmet
became a legal requirement in about 1973. It took the WA Police
    another year to comply.

Incapable of being fatigued; not readily exhausted; unremitting in labor or

showing sustained enthusiastic action with unflagging vitality; "an

Perhaps not the best word, but appropriate none the less.

Feel free to suggest a completely appropriate word.

"logic" could ever be correctly described

    Faultless?
    Unarguable?
    Impregnable?
    Undeniable?

    Ooh ooh, I know.... "good"!

Perhaps, but not the word/meaning I was looking for.
    Unarguable??? In THIS newsgroup? Teehee.
Difficult or impossible to attack, challenge, or refute with success: an
    impregnable argument
In this definition of the word, quite possibly suitable, but no more so than
    indefatigable.
Can logic be undeniable? Not in this newsgroup. Also not the meaning I was
looking for, what's the point of saying someone's logic is undeniable?
Unless it is followed by a statement about the merit of such logic. The
merit of Zebee's logic is undeniable. That works for me.
Yup. But I like using big words.
Overheard on train... "Your vocabulary is like... yeah, whatever."

For crissake do you speak English?!! Indefatigable is TOTALLY inappropriate!

    Take your dictionary definition;
"Incapable of being fatigued; not readily exhausted; unremitting in labor
or effort; untiring; unwearying; not yielding to fatigue; as, indefatigable
exertions, perseverance, application. ``A constant, indefatigable
    attendance.'' --South.

showing sustained enthusiastic action with unflagging vitality; "an
    indefatigable advocate of equal rights"; "a tireless worker";
    "unflagging pursuit of excellence"

Now pick ANY of those explanations and put them in the "Zebee's logic is as usual ........." sentence and see
    how stupid it looks!

Now it's no big deal (and if you'd just said "Oh I could never tire of Zebee's logic, ha ha" it'd be over by
now) but don't keep up this stupid defence!

    Exasperated-Knob!

Yeah, I was going off at a tangent, again.
I don't remember having a tricycle. My parents couldn't afford the
extra wheel so I got my first two-wheeler at four. And that was before
trainer wheels were invented. Training consisted of get on, fall off,
get on, fall off. Doesn't take long before you learn how not to fall
off cause it hurts. Kids these days wobble around on four wheeled
bicycles for a year when they could be riding on two in a week. No
    incentives!

One also tires of dickheads who can't admit even the tiniest of mistakes and
have to bleat on and on trying to weasel out of it but, alas, this is Usenet

That's not a treadly, it's a car. It just looks a bit funny because
nobody had ever made a car before and Gotlieb didn't know what they
were supposed to look like. His mate Karl made a proper car but only
because his Mrs was nagging him to take her to her mother's. As soon
as Karl got the thing together and went down the pub to celebrate, Mrs
Benz snuck the car out of the shed and toddled of to her mum's. She
was the first car thief. Stole the first car.

    Theo.
I've got a piccie of me at four years old on the treadly but there's
no way you guys are going to get to see it.
