smoking 2 stroke

    Its a total loss lubrication system, Andy.
    the oil ends up as smoke or oil in the exhaust system, ultimately.
    When the bike is thrashed for a few miles, the extra exhaust heat
    will burn the oil up in the exhaust....result, clouds of smoke.
    Normal for a 2 stroke.

    a smoking 2 stroke? who'd have thought... :)
    don't worry about it, unless it gets too thick to see through...

    And girls wonder why it costs so much to have their car checked for some
    noise! With all the opinions, insults and bad info in this thread (and this
    is a, what, 80's 2-stroke single cyl Kaw?) it's no wonder that vehicles are
    so hard to fix.
