Quantity isn't everything, this might have been a surgical strike.

    Heh.

I landed in Paris yesterday and it was a very bumpy ride. The aircraft
was being buffeted around a helluva lot, but the landing was absolutely
excellent. Smooth, controlled and not at all bumpy.

The Captain got on the blower and told us that it was the co-pilot that
had landed and he did an excellent job, all things considered. The
steward then proceeded to announce that it was the co-pilots first
landing on an aircraft with passengers. :)

  9. I almost got blown off the K100 on the way home from work yesterday. At
one point, near the filling station at the Meudon cut-off, I swear the bike
'slid' sideways by about a foot. I was at first afraid to 'lean' it into
the wind, thinking my tyres were so shite, that it'd lowside me. Then I
sort of sighed, 'il n'y a qu'un moyen de le savoir' [1], and pushed it
over. I'm still here to tell the tale, so it must have worked.

[1] 'there's only one way to find out ...'
