anyone recommend a good smash repairer in canberra? money is no problem. thanks d
i don't actually have it back yet. the goulburn police found it dumped in a ditch beside the highway. i don't know the condition, only that its scratched and the electrics/ignition have been ripped out (i assume it was hotwired). if its not written off i want the best i can get to look at it. who knows what damage has been done to the engine/gearbox. tyres are probably fucked from burnouts. if the electrics have been fucked does that stuff the rev limiter? i have no idea on these sort of things.
I haven't had the pleasure to find a smash repairer I like yet - I have only tried one place that was based out in queanbeyan, and wasn't impressed at how long they took. But I would suggest talking to someone like Bruce from Bruce's Motorcycle Repairs Unit 3, 44- 46 Grimwade St Mitchell ACT 2911 ph: (02) 6241 1175 and see what he has to say. Bruce has always impressed me with the way he listens and the work he does. He could be a good starting point - if he can't do it himself I am sure he would be able to point you to someone good. Bruce (not that one)

Me too! I posted his phone number earlier (in a rather more abbreviated post). Bruce does all my non-brand-specific work, he's sensible and genuine and you could do a lot worse.
