    Anybody got any recommendations for a small magnetic tank bag ????

    Not much of a range down here in Tassie .

    All the ones down here are basically the Dri rider ones which are way
    too big.

    All I want to put in it is camera, wallet, goretex jacket liner,
    sunnies, wallet, perhaps pair of shoes and jeans ?????

    Anybody got any ideas ???

    Cheers.

    I just bought the Teknic chicane bag online, it was on special for $39 the
    other month. It's very small, has 4 good, strong magnets and a clip for
    going around the handlebars in case it wants to go west in the wind. I did
    1500k's last weekend including fire trails and it didn't budge.

    It's not waterproof, that is it doesn't have a roll down lip to cover the
    zip so stuff can and does get wet. i don't care, i just wanted somewhere to
    put maps and snacks for touring. If I can be bothered, i might make up a
    cover for it....one day

    Dunno if it's still available, I looked at the MC supermarkets and couldn't
    find it any more.

  3. I've got the dririder voyager tankbag
    http://www.gobike.com.au/prod4100.htm

    It's basically 2 bags in one - so I don't need to carry the whole thing if I
    don't need the space.
    However - it would only just fit everything you've said you want to carry.

    It's big brother is probably better:
    http://www.gobike.com.au/prod4099.htm

    Rjays do some smallish ones too,
    <http://www.mcas.com.au/product.php?section=1&prodid=998>
    or this for a bigger one
    <http://www.mcas.com.au/product.php?section=1&prodid=1002>

    And this gearsack one doesn't look too big either:
    <http://www.mcas.com.au/product.php?section=1&prodid=460>

    MAW also have Bagster's that might fit <http://www.maw.com.au>

    All the above shops should ship to tassie if you can't find what you need down
    there.

    while looking for something similar recently, i stumbled
    across "Oxford" luggage, a brand i'd never heard of...

    they look well made, and the model i was looking at comes
    with storm covers, carry straps, plastic inserts, etc etc etc

    Brighton Kawasaki (Vic) had a smaller magnetic tank-bag going for $90
    I 'think' it was this one http://www.biketrade.co.uk/oxford_luggage/tank_bag.html

    cheers

    the dri rider multi tank/waste bag, its a very nice little handbag, fits
    everything you want. I loved mine until someone flogged it..

    mind you can pick up some very cheep small tank bags. I think on one of them
    internet sites there was one for 20 bucks or something.. www.bikebiz.com.au
    or something, I personally got a large tank bag from www.netbikes.com.au was
    dirt cheep and really big...
    took big honestly..

    ah well
    cheers.

    I had a waste bag. I used to put all kinds of shit in it.

    No-one flogged mine, though.

    I can't believe you completely ignored the "No-one flogged mine" line. :)

  13. I bought an Oxford seat bag a few years back in the UK, their stuff seems to
    be well made. Good range too. And unlike dri-rider or rjays it comes in
    colours other than black!
