  2. Yes Geoff, that was obvious
but everyone after the event was running around like giggling little
schoolgirls telling everyone what a great time they had at their little
    secret little party.

If it was a secret party, then why tell the rest of thte group readers about
    it
send them a private email if they like as was their invites .

    As Normie would say
never let a chance go by

    That's a bit tough Tim.
The perp of an albeit inept attempt to pour oil on troubled water does
not deserve to be dismissed as being a whinging tosser. I can
understand some others mistaking motives but I really expected better
    from you.

Goodness Gracious Me! It looks as if the aus.moto equilibrium is a wee bit
    out of whack!

Settle, lovely people. Unadversarialise (I just made up that word, do you
    like it?)

Dammit, I get all tragic when there are fights here, and want to hide... and
I try hard to stay out of the ring - (and blah blah blah, there's the gender
bullshit about blokes being warriors and women being peacemakers and I
somehow seem to fall into that stupid stereotype because I hate conflict) -
    but anyway...

....back to Smack's party... I am just amazed that such a large number of
people from such diverse smack-friendship groups (not just aus.moto) managed
not to let anything slip! Seeing as how much we run off at the mouth
sometimes in this newsgroup it was nothing short of miraculous that one of
us didn't give it away! And I'm kind of sad that it's now turned into a
battleground. It was a lovely night.

Smack - love ya mate (you are a mere 5 weeks behind me in the old fart
stakes, btw!) When you actually hit the big 5-0 for real, more birthday hugs
    from here!

I'm blathering, I know (blame the cab sav this evening). Back on the diet
tomorrow after a most UNabstemious weekend!

    peace, lurve and cab savs

"Unadversarialise" I like that. Good one, Betty.
I had no problems with anything. I just capitalised on another
wonderful opportunity for stirring the most stirrable possum in this
    NG. He's *SUCH* a possum. ;-)

I'd even have wished Smack "Happy Birthday" except for the fact that
the silly fuckchop only ever spits venom at me.
I don't think anyone in here who is sane is taking it seriously,
Betty. Well, I'm not anyway. And I'm not even sane.

Relax Betty, it's just a few wannabe alpha males marking their
    territory. Hilarious, really.

Thanks for the reassurance Gerry - phew! Just another slight tilting of the
gradient that is the aus.moto learning curve - as long as you lot all love
each other in real life I won't get too stressed by the apparent fire and
brimstone that seems to be spat out here between people that I like!

Must be another one of those Venus-Mars things (dunno, haven't read the
book) - I find it hard to sound cross if I'm not, and I suppose I also find
it hard to differentiate between true male hostility and a bit of jockeying
and harsh banter... I get a bit intimidated by the mass testosterone stuff
    now and then :)

when a writer adds a verse and then decides it's not needed and un adds
    verse right? :) [1]

I quite like the idea of nuancifying, heh heh - if fits into my idea of the
flexibilisation of English, which is, after all, a bit of a mongrellated
    language <grin>

Nah I think the French are better at linguistic absorption - and then they
put up le signs all over le place outlawing it!

I reckon that calling English a linguistic bovver boy is a bit unfair,
though! I think English demonstrates the beautiful versatility and
elasticatability of the subjugated Brits... After the colonisations -
    physically and socio-linguistiocally (Roman/Latin, Norman/French) I reckon
the English have a perfect right to do peculiar things with this beautiful
mega-hybrid language, heh heh. Besides, wordifying is such fun!

Oh for fucks sake George will you pull your head in and stop acting like a
    Christian at a strip-party?!!?
There are no "troubled waters" and you're just making a tool of yourself
    with this carrying-on.
