Smack's 50th birthday

Well you bastards could have given me a bit of a hint that you were
all invading Taswegia! I would have taken the night off. As it was I
just got a soundcheck out and headed down for an hour expecting a few
of the local Hobartians there for a couple of quiet beers. I reckon I
was almost as floored as Smack was when I walked into the pub and
there's all the old crew from the mainland (you know, that big island
up north) sitting there. **** me.

It was too late for me to pull out of the gig so I had to go but it
was good to catch up with some old faces and a couple of new ones I
have only talked to online (hi Betty!)

And if I was gobsmacked I bet Smack was gobbed more than I was. Nice
work guys

 

And here I am, barely 200 km away, and just re-connected to ADSL - and
not knowing a damned thing. Pah!

A Pee Bird Day, Smack!

 

Well that's a bugger! The Missus and I were discussing coming down to
Tassie this weekend to introduce the youngun to the clan (and a Neice
and dad in-laws Birthday) but decided to come down in two weeks
.......... if I knew ........

Could I humbly suggest that the whole GG thing is being taken far too
seriously? I mean, sure in this case there was a bit of a need for
secrecy if it was to be a surprise, but I think there is an underlying
communication problem that has a lot to do with people not knowing
about important events like this.
Face it - in total it (GG) only amounts to a silly exchange, but it is
being blown up into something far more than it's worth, generally
through a holier than thou attitude by some.
2c only, but think about it.

 

There are those who seek to CONTROL who says what to whom and who
should be killfiled and why. And then there are those who advocate a
LAISSEZ-FAIRE APPROACH to this newsgroup.

It is a well known fact that short people with small penises tend to
want to control things. It's also a well known fact that smacking
them down before they start to design ostentatious uniforms is
generally the right way to go.

I was a goer up until last sunday evening when in the hospital I was
told "with that torn Achilles you are going nowhere".
I had to cancel accommodation and the return flight.
Hardest part was keeping the thing quiet though.
I hope you bastards had a great time.

If you're suggesting that Smack's SURPRISE party wasn't discussed here in
aus.moto (the aus.moto that SMACK READS) because people wanted to exclude
two morons who have never shown ANY inkling of interest in attending any
aus.moto group gathering EVER; then your paranoia is only exceeded by your
imagination!
