Bloody hell. Did the Chelmsford run again today (Only three bloody horseboxes and a caravan on the way there) Light rain on the way back, and by god did things get interesting. Back end stepped out twice on one roundabout, once on the next and locked up on a dounshift for the third. At that point I decided I was probably pushing my luck and eased off for the rest of the way. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 TS 156 TS S2 Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
Catman wrote It is the same all over this part of the world. If you can be arsed to ride slow enough (perhaps for the brief moment before you bang it down one or two and loft a wheelie past the aforementioned horsebox) you might notice the roads are covered in accumulated dirt what still hasn't washed away in the very modest rains we are experiencing. Thus when it does spit a bit it turns to something potters would call slip and for fucking good reason. It is really a great deal of fun out there in the damp right now, about three times the fun for not a lot of the speed. A couple of showers at the right time over the holiday and there will be new gaps in hedges all over the southern part of the county.
Heh. Thing that surprised me is that it was still slimey. It *tossed* it down yesterday, and I was expecting the roads to ahve been cleaned. -- Catman MIB#14 SKoGA#6 TEAR#4 BOTAFOF#38 Apostle#21 COSOC#3 Tyger, Tyger Burning Bright (Remove rust to reply) Alfa 116 Giulietta 3.0l (Really) Sprint 1.7 75 TS 156 TS S2 Triumph Speed Triple: Black with extra black bits www.cuore-sportivo.co.uk
Catman said... I was out on the Bandit this morning/early afternoon and I absolutely hooned it down B roads that had been rained on earlier. The Bandit didn't flinch a bit, the roads were lovely and clean.
I might drag out the 250 today and see if I can scare myself on twisty little roads. It's got to be good for a laugh.
