Slightly annoying

If MQ BI stuff is what you're interested in doing, maybe we should
talk.

 

I'm not actually particularly interested in any one thing, but I want
to further move in the direction of being a "generalizing specialist",
and so I'm going to have to get involved in enterprise-wide integration
technologies. MQ series is one of these. Genio is another. Also want
some networking hardware knowledge.

The CEO. The whole organisation (thousands and thousands of people) are
being re-organised into vertical business units rather than a tiered
approach.

Quite a lot of front-of-house operations are currently in the process
of being out-sourced, so they're "effected" already.

It's part of a medium-term (5-7 years) initiative to massively grow the
company (and the group is already one of the biggest European-based
outfits in the world) partly through aquisitions but also partly by
industrialising all the existing teams.
