Hey, it's not too late to put in a counter-offer ...

Speaking of which, I'm outta here at the end of July. The new job involves
me reporting direct to the CTO and being pretty-much responsible for
    architecture company-wide <gulp>

I'm not thinking of buying an Aprilia. Or a faired sportsbike.
so you eventually made your mind up. Is it the BB outfit you mentioned
    before?
onwards and upwards. I'm vaguely minded to attempt a move to our
Architecture/R&D section during the coming Changes.

No he wasn't, he told you he was a dealer when you said no less than
    3300.

Yep - inching closer to the City. Actually, probably within easy
lunch-range of you I'd have thought
It's the way forward. You don't actually have to /do/ anything, other than
appear sage and wise, preferably before the event, but after is fine too

heh. Well, it is a documented fact that Andy responds to the troll at
    least as much as anyone.

We don't have to - the fact that nobody bought it for 3300 means that
*when it was advertised* the market decided it wasn't worth 3300.

Next week might be different, of course.

That's not going to make him bite. Now had you said that you were
responsible for the hire of military aircraft for the film industry :)

If I'm watching something but didn't bid, it usually means that I was
intending to have a snipe near the end but forgot all about it, and
missed out on a bargain. D'oh.

You know what you can do, and all.

Anyway, I reserve the "Des Defence", to whit:

You're all cunts for not agreeing with me and I'm still right anyway.

    Wrong.

That's what they are being advertised for. What they will actually sell
for is a different matter entirely.

I'll bet matey who was after yours is phoning them as we type, offering
    3150. Someone will take it.

Well, duh. But it shows my original starting bid of 2900 wasn't by any
    means unreasonable.
Sure. But do they have Glasses Guide ;-)

    Or perhaps, entrepreneurial.

It's just a matter of perspective, really.

They're making it too easy for you.

Where's all the documentation up front, with your name on it. Then the
witch hunts if there's a problem, even one unrelated to your
    architecture?

    :)

Cap Green Book is used more and more nowadays, Glases tends to be a bit
optimistic. I have a month out of date copy every month courtesy of a
    dealer friend of mine.

Clever people buy with Cap, sell with Glasses
