Want to do a brake overhaul whilst I have the Blackbird wheels off. What
grease is best to use on the slider pins (not the pin that holds the pads
but the thick pins the whole caliper moves on).

    Thanks,

    Mark

Chassis grease (as opposed to ball bearing grease), sticky
and good water resistance. Normal soft type, not the
heavy machinery one that will stop any movement.
Or if you want to go OTT: Syl-glyde (at least I think that
is the name) or other pure silicone brake grease. Nearly as
good as the price is high.

I use GP products Super Caliper Grease:

A little goes a looong way. I got a 45g tub about two years ago and
have used about a third of it. It's, umm, super.

If no special grease is stated in the manual, then good old copperase works
    well for me.

I agree, but it tends to disappear quite quickly, or at least
it does in my experience from the frequent strip downs of
the brakes I've done on the race bikes. It's not a problem
as I just do it each time, but it's worth keeping an eye on.

I have to admit that I was quite impressed on the difference
it make when you flush the brake fluid, clean the calipers
(toothbrush and brake cleaner for me) and then regrease
everything. I'd really recommend it to anyone as a yearly
thing if you don't do it atm.

    Sorry, you wooshed me :-/

BTW, the frame on the 600 is currently being powder coated
in the One True Colour, before being reassembled with the
620 engine in it. We did a dry fit before sending the frame
away and it fits LIKE A GLOVE. </ace ventura>

Mark dropped the top yoke into the stripping bath thing
at his work and it now looks better than new, so with the
all new fairing it will looks pretty good. At least until the
    first crash anyway...

I don't think you've been to the new gaff, even though we've
lived there for over three years now, so would be good for
you to come over at some point.

I think we're doing Cadwell in April, and I'll have some free
tickets again, so once I know more I'll let you know.

I know that New Era have an "official" photographer at each round,
so they might get the hump if you're trying to move in on their
territory, but it might just be worth giving NE a call and asking
    them: http://www.neweramcc.org/

Not quite, but this is UKRM after all ;-)
I'm sure a couple of the guys managed to blag their way onto
the infield to take some shots, so I'm pretty sure they'll let
    you out there.
