    ....deprivation.

    Damn annoying it is.

Tired enough to not have the energy to do things, but not tired enough
to sleep. Or rather things keeping me awake. And I think side effects
of taking a lot less pills - heart is racing a bit.

4am last night. 5am and counting tonight.

At least I've tidied the garage up a lot, 7 bin bags of crap put out
for the binmen, and the AT is nestling in its own clearing with a run
to the garage door. Must blast its cobwebs out tomorrow.

In the meantime I suppose I might as well stay awake for 36 hours, see
if I can knock my body clock back into sync that way.

I may be a touch grumpy later...

Is this a sleep cycle out of kilter thing, as in still sleeping 8 hours
    but it's shifted to 5am to 1pm ?

No, its whatever time i fall asleep to 10am when my alarm goes off.

I refuse to let my body drift into a late am to pm sleep habit, thats
just the slippery slope to ending up as one of the hopeless great
    unwashed.

Good stuff, the natural way to put you to sleep,
available in any drug store in America.
I think it's still illegal over here.

To keep awake, Modafinil (Provigil) apparently will keep you
awake permanently with no ill effects, apart from the legality.

Hah. Tell me about it. The Irish Paternalistic Medicines Board think the
same way and don't want anyone taking anything without their sayso.

    Really? Interesting. I wonder....

It'd be easy to overdo that, iwt. You know that shitty, gritty feeling
you get from overdosing on caffeine pills? You're still awake and alert,
but part of your brain is screaming for sleep. I wonder if it's like
that, and if so, how far you can push it. People die of staying awake,
    you know.

Hmm. Not exactly helpful there :S

I've got some Nitol and I find they work very well. A bit too well, I'm
    sleepy for 24 hours.
I gave up. Some sleep better than none.

Try 24 hours avoiding using any consumer elecronics (I'm talking TV,
Computer, Radio here, not cooker and fridge), you'll find it's much
easier to sleep when the usual forms of entertainment disappear.

It's something along those lines. Sleep isn't just for the brain, lots
of other systems get cleaned/repaired at the same time. Look at that
Korean? gameplayer bod who croaked it a short time back (url was on
here, afair) after going for some ridiculous time awake online... his
    heart stopped.

A five day speedfest would kill me for sure, nowadays.

Well, I'm prepared to lay a small wager that you're currently largely
    the right colour.

    "It's not easy being green".

Anyroadup, that's the deal. If you want shooting, you're just going to
    have to learn to fly.

It can't be that hard, you don't have to worry about the "landing" part
    of the syllabus.

Listen pal, you're the one wants shooting. If you can't be arsed to put
in a little basic effort then you're just going to have to find another
    marksman.
