Heh, specialist subject I guess... even though they have two companies I
*think* that there is through ticketing between them and the Oyster like
'Pasmo' system lets you use either company's lines?

 

Sooo subjective it's meaningless. But France _is_ a pretty good place
to live. Perhaps you'd care to share your reasoning that make Germany
so much better?

 

As you say, it's subjective.

Maybe it's because I know more Germans than I do French people.

 

I'd say that ranking Europe Italy and Austria tie for first place,
France comes third, Germany fourth and Switzerland a very poor fifth.
In fact, I'd say Austria probably had the edge over Italy if I was
pushed.

 

Given a choice of anywhere in Europe, I'd probably move to Portugal.
Somewhere not too far from the Algarve coast, but away from all the
tourists and ex-pats.

concluding that I prefer Switzerland to France, given that we live in
both. Of course, sitting in bed in a ski resort musing about what time

How many ex-pats have to live somewhere before it becomes an ex-pat
area? I can just imagine the locals whinging in their bar about it
being the beginning of the end and how once you let one settle more
always follow until the area becomes a ghetto.

French. Does that make Spain a better place to live? FFS.
