Bad form n'all, but I think I've sussed it out. You've been watching that Peugeot advert haven't you, you know, the one where matey turns his Morris Oxford [1] into a 307. That's you that is, didn't that "thing" used to be a mangled Lambretta. Anything starting with Maico will have a high fun factor regardless of age or cubic capacity, this should not be an exception.

6 volt, electric start only. Not a happy starter, reputedly. You'll be wanting to restore the electrics to a particularly high standard.

Why not? When you like something you like it, don't matter what anyone else thinks after all? Nope, that's still under a cover in the back yard, still mangled it is too Well batted but wont the pedantisti still try to do you for the fact that he tried to turn it into a *2*07? -- Donegal Paul - On the mend Maico Letta 247cc - Needs work! Yup, the original battery is still fitted believe it or not! It's funny but there are two of these in our local club. One is concourse condition, gorgeous it is. The other, just original looking, not scruffy but not polished etc. However, the "normal" one belongs to the bloke that sprints a lambretta and does all his own work. Which one started absolutely no problem on Thursday night? Suffice to say, not the one that looks brand new! -- Donegal Paul - On the mend Maico Letta 247cc - Needs work! Reserved space! I've only ever had to bump the lambretta a couple of times, this was before i stripped and rebuilt the engine and it's a bitch, I would imagine that bumping a letta's an uberbitch -- Donegal Paul - On the mend Maico Letta 247cc - Needs work! Bumping my FZR is really easy, as each pot is 62 and a bit cc big. Paddle forward with your feet a bit, let the clutch out in 1st gear and off she goes.
